First off - some basic info

HomesteadCraft is a primarily SMP server, with the difficulty set on "normal."

We are a FRIENDLY server. We all just wanna get along, and play some Minecraft. If someone is being abusive to you, or another player, please, DO NOT hesitate to message a moderator or admin.

We are an 21+ server. No being 19 isn't "close enough."

We use a fair number of plug-ins, in an effort to bring more of an "RPG" feel to the world of Minecraft. Check out the Mods and Plugins channel for more information on what mods and plug-ins we use.

We also use a claims plug-in here on HomesteadCraft. Claims are safe zones. Lava placed outside a claim won't flow into a claim. Blocks can't be placed or broken by someone without trust in that claim. All kinds of neat stuff to protect you from griefing. Chest claims will disappear after two weeks, if you haven't logged on, or if you haven't made a new claim since the chest claim was placed.  Also, PVP is still ON inside of claims if you have PVP enabled.

Speaking of PVP, on this server you get a choice! That means if you don't want to partake in PVP, you don't have to. You can toggle PVP on or off using /pvp in game. Remember though, for a PVP battle to take place, all involved parties need to turn PVP on. If you have PVP enabled, and begin a fight, either by hitting or being hit by someone, there is a 30 minute timer before you can toggle it again. 

See a cool build and wanna check it out, but you're worried about invading someones space? Well, if you can get into it.... feel free to look around! Players can't open doors on another persons claim without being trusted first and they can't open chests either. Many of the builds in our world were built to be explored. If you're really not sure, just ask around
