A useful little tool

Nickname generator

Pick your colors, check the preview, and copy a command to paste in Minecraft.

Use letters, numbers and underscores. If you have /nick access, you can change both your name and its colors. Server length limits still apply.

Click a circle to change its color. Drag its numbered handle to move it, or past another handle to swap their order. Use the × above a circle to remove it. You can also use the arrow keys.

Your preview

Previewed in Monocraft, a free Minecraft-style font. The server’s chat layout may look a little different.

Copy the whole command, then paste it into Minecraft chat and send it.

To go back to your original name just use .

A couple of things to know

Copying a command does not change your nickname. You apply it yourself in Minecraft. If the server refuses a name or color, check your nickname perk or ask staff in Discord.

On HomesteadCraft, players with /nick access can change both their name and its colors.

Use one color for a solid nickname, or add up to ten colors for a gradient and move the stops to get the blend you want. Add bold, italic, underline or strikethrough if you like. This tool uses CMI’s documented color and formatting codes. It works entirely in your browser.
